SCSB is a driving measuring instrument composed by digital electronic sensors to detect the presence and intensity of secondary cooling water jets in the Billet/Bloom continuous casting machines.

It’s composed by cell bars, a set of pressure membrane sensors, adapted according to the billet/bloom size. An advanced data processing and visualization, provides measurement results at different levels:

– Global result (GO/NOGO)

– Cooling zone or side

– Spray line

– Single sensor cell

The module is installed on dummy bar using a custom designed adapter and execute the measurement cycle during the bottom-to-top or top-to-bottom dummy bar movimentation.
